Deirdre Wood is acclaimed for her interest in, and use of, strip-woven fabrics, a technique still widely practised in Africa. A 2005 exhibition at the Crafts Study Centre in Farnham presented her recent work, where curving strips of fabric are place in carefully controlled arrangements, enhancing the surrounding architectural space. Celsius designed and produced the supporting exhibition graphics together with a simply wonderful accompanying catalogue. |
